Agency Disclosure MMT Care is a brand name operated by MMT Advisory (003556025-D). MMT Advisory operates as a corporate agent of Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad and may also distribute products from other licensed takaful operators from time to time. MMT Care is not a takaful operator or insurance provider. Certificates, coverage terms, and underwriting decisions are the responsibility of the respective takaful operator. Please also refer to our Disclaimer for further details.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MMT Care website at mmt.care and all associated digital services, including the online application process for takaful products offered through MMT Care ("the Service").

By accessing or using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, each of which are incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of this website immediately.


2. About MMT Care & Our Role

MMT Care is a brand name operated by MMT Advisory (003556025-D), a corporate agent authorised to distribute takaful products on behalf of one or more licensed takaful operators, including Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad ("the Operator"). Our role as agent is limited to:

  • Operating a digital platform to facilitate applications
  • Providing indicative quotations based on underwriting guidelines
  • Processing applications and transmitting them to the Operator
  • Collecting contributions on behalf of the Operator
  • Delivering certificates issued by the Operator
MMT Care does not underwrite, issue, or guarantee any takaful certificate. All coverage decisions, certificate terms, claims handling, and refund entitlements are determined solely by the respective takaful operator in accordance with applicable law and Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") regulations.

3. Services Offered

Through this website, MMT Care provides individuals and businesses in Malaysia access to apply for a range of Shariah-compliant takaful products administered by one or more licensed takaful operators, including but not limited to:

  • Medical Malpractice Takaful
  • Motor Takaful
  • Fire Takaful
  • Public Liability Takaful
  • Travel Takaful
  • And other takaful products as made available from time to time

The Service includes:

  • Online application and quotation tools
  • Indicative premium estimation (not binding until formally confirmed)
  • Secure payment processing
  • Certificate delivery via email or other communicable instruments (e.g. WhatsApp)
  • General information and educational content about coverage
Any estimates or indicative figures displayed on this website (including the Quick Estimate widget) are for reference purposes only and do not constitute a binding quotation. Final contribution amounts are subject to underwriting and will be confirmed in a formal quotation issued.

4. Application & Approval Process

To obtain coverage, applicants must complete the following steps:

  • Complete the online application form accurately and in full
  • Receive a formal quotation by email from MMT Care
  • Confirm acceptance of the quotation and make payment
  • Receive the takaful certificate via email or other communicable instruments (e.g. WhatsApp) upon successful processing

MMT Care will endeavour to process applications promptly. However, the Operator retains the right to accept, decline, or modify any application at its discretion in accordance with its underwriting guidelines.

MMT Care bears no liability for any delay or rejection arising from the Operator's underwriting decisions.


5. Coverage & Benefits

Information about coverage benefits, exclusions, and conditions displayed on this website is intended as a general overview only. The complete and legally binding terms are set out in the certificate wordings issued by Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad.

In the event of any inconsistency between content on this website and the certificate wordings, the certificate wordings shall prevail.

Certificate wordings are available as follows:

  • Medical Malpractice Takaful (Individual Coverage): Available online at mmt.care/wordings

6. User Responsibilities

By using this Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information in your application. Misrepresentation may render your certificate void.
  • Notify MMT Care promptly of any material changes to information provided during the application process
  • Comply with all terms and conditions set out in your takaful certificate once issued
  • Use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its systems

7. Personal Data & Privacy

By submitting an application through this website, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data (including professional registration details and payment information) for the purposes of facilitating your takaful application, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and our Privacy Policy.

Your data may be shared with Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad and relevant regulatory bodies as required for underwriting, compliance, and claims processing.

You have the right to access and correct your personal data held by MMT Care. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@mmt.care.


8. Refund Policy

Refund eligibility is governed primarily by the terms of the takaful certificate and applicable BNM regulations. Subject to those overriding rules, MMT Care's administrative refund process is as follows:

  • Pre-commencement cancellation: A refund of the contribution paid may be available if the certificate is cancelled before its commencement date, subject to any administrative fees.
  • Mid-term cancellation: A pro-rata refund may be available for the unexpired period, subject to deduction of applicable service or administrative charges.
  • Overpayment: Any excess amount paid beyond the confirmed contribution will be refunded in full.
  • Post-claim: No refund will be issued for any period in which a claim has been made or an incident has occurred.

To request a refund, submit a written request with supporting documentation to hello@mmt.care. Requests will be processed within 14 business days of receipt of all required documents.

Your statutory refund rights under the takaful certificate and BNM regulations are not affected or diminished by this policy. In the event of any conflict, the Operator's certificate terms and BNM regulations shall prevail.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, MMT Care's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of this website or the Service shall be limited to the amount of administrative fees (if any) paid by you to MMT Care in connection with your application.

MMT Care shall not be liable for:

  • Any inaccuracy in indicative estimates or general information displayed on this website
  • Decisions made by the Operator in respect of underwriting, claims, or certificate terms
  • Any loss arising from website downtime, technical errors, or third-party service failures
  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental loss of any nature

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including the Consumer Protection Act 1999.


10. Amendments to These Terms

MMT Care reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Continued use of this website after any amendments constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please discontinue use of the website.


11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

In the event of a dispute relating to your takaful certificate or a claim, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Scheme administered by Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) Malaysia, or contact BNM LINK at 1-300-88-5465.

Disputes relating solely to MMT Care's administrative services may be referred to us in the first instance at hello@mmt.care, and if unresolved, to the courts of Malaysia.
